ನಾಳೆ ಸೌರ ಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪೂರ್ವ ದೃಶ್ಯ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಸುವರ್ಣಾವಕಾಶ

ನೆಲಮಂಗಲ: ಸೌರ ಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೂ.೬ ರಂದು ಸೂರ್ಯೋದಯದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ೧೦-೨೦ ರವರೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಅಪೂರ್ವ ದೃಶ್ಯವನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಸುವರ್ಣಾವಕಾಶ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಮಿತಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಇ.ಬಸವರಾಜು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಅವರು ತಾಲೂಕು ಕೆ.ಜಿ.ವಿ.ಎಸ್ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಶುಕ್ರ ಸಂಕ್ರಮಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಜೂನ್ ೬ ರಂದು ಶುಕ್ರ ಗ್ರಹವು ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಲಿದೆ. ಇದುವೇ ಶುಕ್ರ ಸಂಕ್ರಮಣ. ಇದೊಂದು ಅಪರೂಪದ ಖಗೋಳ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನ, ದೂರದರ್ಶಕದ ಶೋಧನೆಯ ನಂತರ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ಬಾರಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಶುಕ್ರ ಸಂಕ್ರಮಣವು ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಶತಮಾನಕ್ಕೂ  ಮೀರಿದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೋಡಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಂದರೆ ಎಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯಂತರ ಅವಧಿಗೆ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಈ ಶುಕ್ರ ಸಂಕ್ರಮಣ ಸಂಭವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಶುಕ್ರ ಸಂಕ್ರಮಣಗಳು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ೧೬೩೧ ಮತ್ತು ೧೬೩೯,೧೭೬೧ ಮತ್ತು ೧೭೬೯, ೧೮೭೪ ಮತ್ತು ೧೮೮೨ ಹಾಗೂ ಈಚೆಗೆ ೨೦೦೪ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಈಗ ೨೦೧೨ರ ಜೂನ್ ೬ ರಂದು ಮತ್ತೆ ಈ ಜೋಡಿ ಶುಕ್ರ ಸಂಕ್ರಮಣ ಅಪರೂಪದ ದೃಶ್ಯವನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂದರು.

ಶುಕ್ರ ಸಂಕ್ರಮಣದ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ  ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಸೌರ ಕನ್ನಡಕಗಳು ಬೇಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಮಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ೪ನೇ ಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆ, ರುಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಣಿ ನಗರ, ನಾಗಸಂದ್ರ ಅಂಚೆ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು-೭೩.

Breakthrough Science Society (BSS) and Karnataka Jnana Vijnana Samithi (KJVS) will conduct an awareness camp all over the state from June 3 to 6 about the transit of Venus (June 6).

The society has urged the public not to pay heed to the astrological pandits’ false predictions. Instead, the people should come out and watch the rare celestial phenomena through sunfilters.

“Earlier, transits have helped mankind to measure the distances between the sun and different planets. This time, it is expected to discover earth-like planets with atmosphere outside the solar system. This time scientists are using high

precision instrument to understand how the atmosphere of Venus affects the Sun’s radiation,” said Convener at BSS, Satish Kumar.
